Our two multi-asset funds were run as traditional fund of funds until the end of June 2008, at which point, we widened the investment remit to include alternative investments rather than the previous, more traditional approach, of just equities and bonds.  This is good news for investors. A wider investment scope provides even greater diversification by allowing the fund manager to spread investors’ money over a wider range of investment types – key to helping manage risk. As one market goes down, another may go up – therefore the wider the investment remit, the more opportunities for the Fund Manager to maximise potential returns and minimise risk, regardless of what the markets may be doing.
